Photo When I am weak, then I am strong.2 Corinthians 12:10b
- Times when schedules fill up
- Times when stresses pile one on top of the other
- Times when you don't feel well physically, and wonder how you can do all you need to do.
On top of it all, I'm coming down with the flu as well as a bad earache ... which I definitely hope gets better before getting on a plane. I'm not often sick, and don't often complain, but today I feel really, really lousy.
It is times like this when I need to remind myself that I don't have to depend on my own strength to do what is needed. When I feel the weakest, that is when I can be the strongest. But how can that be?
The answer lies one verse before the one above.
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.2 Corinthians 12:9a
This is God talking. He reminds me that even when flu hits in the middle of a busy schedule, His grace will be enough to carry me through. His power is perfect when my power is at its lowest.
Knowing that God's power and grace is sufficient for everything frees me from the compulsion to burn the midnight oil trying to check more off my list. His grace and power frees me to get the rest my body badly needs.
So what am I going to do tonight? I'm going to make this blog post short and sweet, put my daughter to bed, and head there myself as soon as I possibly can. I'll catch you again in a couple days.
May you walk in HIS power and grace today ... and every day. It is more than sufficient.
So sorry you aren't feeling well. Covering you in prayer, sweet friend. :)
